You’ve put your heart into your book, and you deserve an editor who values and honors your writing and your message.
Whether you need developmental editing, line editing, or proofreading, I’m ready to help you shape and polish your writing while keeping your voice.
Who I Help
I help aspiring authors bring their nonfiction book manuscript to completion through editing and proofreading.
I offer the following services:
- Developmental Editing — Editing for structure, organization, expanding on topics.
- Line Editing — Focusing on clarity, flow, consistency.
- Proofreading — Polishing for typos, punctuation, grammar.
I also offer a Self-Publishing Package:
- For aspiring nonfiction authors looking to self-publish on Amazon, I provide developmental editing, line editing, copyediting (checking for consistency as you add your changes), manuscript prep and formatting for self-publishing, guidance for uploading to Amazon, and consultation as needed throughout the process.
- While I do not provide book cover design, I work closely with your designer to be sure everything blends well. If you do not have a cover designer, I can recommend a trusted professional.
- I also highly recommend that you bring in a final proofreader for your manuscript, after all rounds of editing are completed. While I do proofread my work carefully, it is always recommended that the editor and proofreader be separate individuals to keep eyes fresh.
I work primarily with nonfiction manuscripts. I occasionally offer line edits for novel manuscripts, provided the manuscript evaluation and developmental editing have already been completed.
Please note: I do not offer editing services for short story collections, novellas, graphic novels, children’s books, or poetry books. I encourage you to work with an editor who specializes in those types of books.
My Professional Training Experience
These workshops are where I learned the ins and outs of writing, editing, and working with book manuscripts. I have also participated in regional and genre workshops, conferences, writers’ groups, critique groups, and worked with professional editors on my own manuscripts. Most of my best experience has been hands-on over the years working with my amazing clients. What a privilege!
